MANIFATTURA TABACCHI
Redevelopment of the outdoor spaces for the Manifattura Tabacchi project in Florence, focusing on public squares, green integration, and spatial connection to the urban context.
During my internship at Qbic, I worked on the redevelopment project for Manifattura Tabacchi, a former industrial complex currently being transformed into a cultural and creative district in Florence. My contribution focused on the design and development of the outdoor spaces, including public squares and open communal areas.
I supported the project through:
3D modeling,
Development of plans, sections, and elevations,
Functional diagrams and concept sketches,
And rendered visualizations for the preliminary project phase.
The design approach aimed to reintegrate the historic Tobacco Factory into the Florentine urban fabric by introducing green areas, seating, and flexible gathering spaces. These interventions create a network of welcoming and harmonious public areas that encourage social interaction while respecting the industrial identity of the site.
